1 I lift up my eyes to you,
to you whose throne is in heaven.
2 As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master,
as the eyes of a maid look to the hand of her mistress,
so our eyes look to the LORD our God,
till he shows us his mercy.

3 Have mercy on us, LORD, have mercy on us,
for we have endured much contempt.
4 We have endured much ridicule from the proud,
much contempt from the arrogant.

Psalm 123: This is a plea from a group of persecuted Jews, it is their plea for help.
I wonder how many times we have cried out for help, for not being treated justly.
For being given all the work to do instead of it being dealt fairly among all who are there.
When we come into God’s presence how will we be treated?
God wants us all to serve Him by showing our love to those around us.
To help those who have no food,
to help the people who cannot walk or get around by themselves.
If it means getting our hands wet by mopping the floor,
we do it, because we are there to help each other.
We are God’s hands and feet in our world.
