1 If the LORD had not been on our side –
let Israel say –
2 if the LORD had not been on our side
when men attacked us,
3 when their anger flared against us;
They would have swallowed us alive;
4 the flood would have engulfed us,
the torrent would have swept over us,
5 the raging waters
would have swept us away.

6 Praise be to the LORD,
who has not let us be torn by their teeth.
7 We have escaped like a bird
out of the fowler’s snare;
the snare has been broken,
and we have escaped.
8 Our help is in the name of the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

Psalm 124:- This psalm captures David’s life where God has stepped in time and time again to rescue and guide David. It also captures Israel’s story where over and over again that God has helped them survive the attacks on their country.
At the time of writing Israel is under attack again, and the world awaits what is going to happen.
How is God going to help them out of this problem?
How is God going to help the people?
Through the psalms and the writings in the bible we see that God oversees it all. He knows when we will fall, He knows when a country will be in trouble, and He waits for us to turn to Him.
Are we willing to ask God to help us?, or direct us on the path that we should go?
Sometimes that path maybe a surprise to us, something we had not thought about.
Sometimes it will be a homely feeling of love and care.
Never forget that our help comes from the Lord of heaven and earth. There is no greater living being in all the universe to be at your side, than the Lord.
